Terms & Conditions
  1. “Jack Neo’s Movie Director & Scriptwriter Search 2008” (also known as The Search) is a nationwide filmmaking talent competition. It aims to seek aspiring filmmakers in the categories – “Director”, “Scriptwriter” or “Director-Scriptwriter”.

  2. Interested individuals can apply for the “Director”, “Scriptwriter” or “Director-Scriptwriter” category. The “Director-Scriptwriter” category is open to existing 2-a-team participation, with one director paired with one writer.

  3. Both English and Chinese entries are welcome. However, workshops will be conducted in Chinese.

  4. The Search is open to all nationalities age 18 & above. Foreigners if selected for the programme, will have to be based in Singapore for the entire duration, visas, accommodation etc will have to be arranged and funded by the individual.

  5. There is no limitation to experience level - both amateur and professionals are welcome to apply.

  6. Each person is only allowed one entry. Registration is free.

  7. All entries to be accompanied by official entry form and the listed materials (refer following chart)–

  8. Entries can be submitted through traditional forms of mailing/courier or online submissions.

    For mailing entries, please include a printed copy of your completed form along with the required materials. Submitted videos must be in DVD or VCD format.

    All submitted materials will not be returned.

  9. Closing date is 15 September 2008.

  10. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Enquiries will not be entertained.

  11. Candidates shortlisted for the competition relinquish all rights of submissions to the purpose of marketing and publicity of the competition and the official organiser and partners.

  12. Candidates are obliged to adhere to all terms & conditions stated and applied for the duration of the competition, any breach of the terms & conditions will result in disqualification/termination of the participant.

  13. The organisers reserved the right to change the terms & conditions and the plan.
